QVscribe Help Centre

The QVscribe Help window provides access to the same brief intro video shown prior to activation. This is useful when a new user is accessing a system with QVscribe already installed. A URL to the QVscribe Help Centre is provided in this window.

If you experience errors or unexpected behaviour in QVscribe, you can also generate Log Files that may be useful to QRA engineers to help troubleshoot and find the root cause. You can save the log files and then attach them in an email to support@qracorp.com along with a description of the issue you have encountered.

QVscribe Service Cannot Initialize

In some circumstances, a message stating that the QVscribe service cannot initialize the session will appear as the QVscribe for Word Add-in is loading.

This issue may be a result of an anti-virus or anti-malware software running that may erroneously identify the initialization of QVscribe as a potential threat.

If you encounter this problem, we recommend you momentarily disable any anti-virus and anti-malware software while QVscribe is initializing. If the problem persists beyond this test, please save the QVscribe logs and email us at support@qracorp.com.

QVscribe Window not displaying

Due to Microsoft updates, some users have reported an issue with QVscribe displaying.

To resolve this issue, User Interface options need to change from Optimize for best appearance to Optimize for compatibility.

You can do this by going to your Options in Microsoft Word and/or Excel.

Click File → Options → General

Then select Optimize for compatibility

Switching between QVscribe for Individual and for Teams

QVscribe can be used as a single user tool, QVscribe for Individuals or connected to the QVscribe for Teams Server to enables the management of users and analysis configurations within an organization. It is possible to migrate between single users and teams.

Migrating from QVscribe for Individual to QVscribe for Teams

In an activated QVscribe for Individuals installation, open the licensing screen by pressing on the QVscribe for Individuals button on the toolbar.

The QVscribe License window will open and show the steps to migrate to QVscribe for Teams as shown on the image to the right.

Follow the steps as outlined in the screen and ensure you have the QVscribe for Teams Server IP address ready. Contact your IT administrator for this address.

Reverting from QVscribe for Teams to QVscribe for Individuals

In an activated QVscribe for Teams installation, open the licensing screen by pressing on the QVscribe for Teams button on the toolbar.

The QVscribe License window will open and show the steps to revert to QVscribe for Individuals as shown on the image to the right.

Follow the steps as outlined in the screen and ensure you have a QVscribe single-user license file ready. Contact support@qracorp.com for more information.
